How Tai Chi can help you

Tai Chi is a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Each movement has a small pause before the next movement begins. This is to ensure you are comfortable and free from discomfort or to take the opportunity to sit and rest. It's a soft and gentle exercise that puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all fitness levels.

Attendees relax when they are able to be themselves. This has a deep relaxing and healing effect on the body and mind, bringing about a profounder sense of well-being.

What people say about me

“I really enjoyed the session, it was relaxing from start to finish and I felt that I could rest and sit at any point in the session. I felt incredibly welcomed and made to feel comfortable in relation to my abilities. I drove home smiling and look forward to attending many more sessions.”

Ken

“I have a very stressful job and you gave me an opportunity to relax, the smooth flow and pace of the session was very enjoyable. I find that I can cope with the stresses of the following week and have begun to enjoy my job again.”

Andrew

“It was my first Tai Chi Class, I can’t believe how quickly the time went. I enjoyed the session and want to continue with this as my new hobby in my retirement.”

Lynn

“I have recently had surgery and I was advised that Tai Chi is a useful way to recover. I attended the class and was guided through the movements and if I felt uncomfortable I was encouraged to stop. I did not feel like the spot light was on me to do more. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and was encouraged to do only what I wanted and not to force myself too fast.”
